Resolved — Pricing Display Issue (April 9, 2026)

Earlier today between 8:30 AM and 9:39 AM PST, some users experienced outdated pricing on product pages. This was caused by a background sync service failing to update one of our servers, resulting in stale data for a subset of users.

The issue has been fully resolved and all pricing data is now accurate. We've also added new monitoring to detect this type of failure faster in the future.

What happened?

For approximately one hour, some users saw outdated prices on product pages. The prices shown were stale and did not reflect the most recent market data. Not all users were affected — depending on your location, you may have seen correct or incorrect pricing during this window.

Who was affected?

A subset of users viewing product pages. If you were seeing prices that seemed off between 8:30 AM and 9:39 AM PST, this was the cause.

What caused it?

One of our background services that keeps pricing data up to date stopped syncing to one of our two servers. Users connected to the unaffected server saw correct prices; users connected to the other saw stale data.

How did we fix it?

We identified the failing service, restored connectivity, and confirmed that pricing data was accurate across all servers by 9:39 AM PST.

What are we doing to prevent this?

• New monitoring: We've added alerts specifically for this background service so we'll be notified immediately if it stops syncing, rather than only being alerted if the servers themselves go down.
• Recommended API usage: If you're consuming pricing data via our API, we recommend using the live orderbook endpoint which pulls directly from our database and always returns the freshest data. Additionally, check the updated_at timestamp on pricing responses to verify data freshness.
